In order to contact you, we need a correct e-mail address. When using the Checkout Stand, please enter your COMPLETE email address and VERIFY that it is correct. This seems to be mainly an issue in entering the information. People on AOL, WebTV and many other such services frequently enter incomplete email addresses to those not using those services.
We'll use AOL as an example. AOL uses abbreviated email addresses for those sending email to others using AOL also. In other words, if I am on AOL and my friend wants to send an email to me, I tell them that my email address is "wiseguy1234". The AOL email system assumes that if they don't put the part after the @ then the person must be an AOL customer. So, my friend sends the email to "wiseguy1234" and I get the email just fine. However, if I simply give my email address to everyone as "wiseguy1234", those people that are not using AOL have been given an incomplete email address. They actually should have been given the address, "wiseguy1234@aol.com". This way, those not using AOL can send to those who are, and in this example, my email will actually make it to AOL and then find it's way to me.
Without the complete email address, when we receive an order with the email address as "wiseguy1234" we have no way of knowing which service you are using. Your email may be any one of hundreds of addresses such as, wiseguy1234@aol.com, wiseguy1234@webtv.com, wiseguy1234@prodigy.net or countless others.
Hope this demonstrates why it is important to give the proper email address. It's the most efficient way we have of contacting you.
