We are providing this information so you will be aware of our order processing steps. Although, you will likely not need to know these steps, there might be some reason for you to know what is going on and our intent is to keep you informed.
Here goes!
We receive your order either by shopping cart or by phone.
It should be noted at this point we have not processed your credit card yet.
We contact the wig manufacturer to check stock on the items you ordered. For Redtag items we verify that the item is still available.
Now that we know the items are available, we process your credit card. Once the amount is approved we can proceed with fulfilling your order.
The items you ordered are purchased by us from the manufacturer and are shipped to us in a few days.
We receive the purchased items from the manufacturer and verify they are the items we requested.
We proceed with preparing the items you ordered for boxing and shipping. It is at this stage we print shipping labels and reprint your order if needed.
Your order is received by the post office (USPS) and is on it's way.
It is up to USPS to get the package to you in a timely manner and undamaged.
All this being said, things can and do go wrong at any one of the steps in the process.
It is not uncommon to have one or more of the steps encounter an issue. Such as...
Incomplete shipping or billing information on the received order. This requires us to contact you and obtain the missing information causing delays.
Unavailable items either by the manufacturer or a Redtag items was previously sold. We then contact you to see if there is a different product that you may wish instead. We change the order to reflect the replacement and verify with the manufacturer that it is also available.
It is also not uncommon for a credit card purchase to be not approved. We will then contact you to get this corrected.
We sometimes receive incorrect or substituted product from the manufacturer. We will then find out why and try to get the correct product here with as little of a delay as possible.
Next their is the lost package or undeliverable package. USPS rarely loses packages as compared to other carriers. But an undeliverable package is usually because of a typo in the address. We can normally catch zipcode or state abbreviation issues before the order is shipped.
Even with our best efforts occasionally an order arrives and the wrong item is in the box. We really hate this because it is clearly something we should have prevented. Often times we sit and scratch our heads as to how it happened. We check the item against the order and box it for shipping. This humbling experience just goes to remind us that we are all human and make mistakes.
The reason we point out that problems can and do happen is so you can see what steps we go through. Many assume we process credit cards first or that we have every wig in every color in-stock. We are providing this to be helpful to you in case something does go wrong you can see as well as us where it went wrong.
It should be comforting to know that the vast majority of orders are processed without issues. Every once in a while we have multiple issues with one order or one customer on different orders. This is our worst fear, that you are unhappy with us because of several issues in getting your order to you. We are committed to preventing things like this and will do everything in our power correct any issues that may come up and to prevent them in the future.
